How to repair a blue screen in Windows OS

A Windows bluescreen error message.

As someone with some technical background and experience in dealing with computer systems, this simple to solve but confusing error, does really require proper attendance in order to secure and prevent data loss; common mistakes that can be avoided include doing a fresh installation that obviously wipes out installed programs and drivers.

Tip #1 - Insert a usb stick containing any bootable Windows image

Now try to do an installation of Windows, then instead of continuing the installation, select "Repair Computer", then select to Startup with command prompt.

Then type: "chkdsk c:/f/x/r" , then hit Enter key ... then wait until the computer boots back to Windows on its own.

Tip #2 - If the bluescreen menu does show you the option to start from command prompt, then select it and and continue as in Tip #1

Tip #3 - Change your hard-drive and OS

Some blue screens are completely due to a failed hard-disk, that can no longer boot the operating systems. Such drives become only suited for external storage, but may still be very much unreliable. A new installation of the OS system would obviously have to follow.

Tip #5 - Install the latest drivers

A computer will perform best if the latest drivers are installed as this certainly prevent any likelihood of a computer crash .” Then be sure to add a link to your guide here.
